• Honjin

Accommodation facility established at the lodging of various roads for high-level travelers such as the Edo period, Daimyo, Miyae, Kuge, shogunate officials. Particularly in the Edo era, it was developed in accordance with the establishment of an entry-to-service system. Aside from Honjin, Waki Honjin was placed. Abolished in 1870 when Meiji 3 (1870).
