• The Motoyama-juku

The Motoyama-juku is an accommodation founded in 1614 with the change of route of Nakasendo, consists of 3 towns of Uemachi, Nakamachi and Shimocho. On the streets quiet due to the bypass of National Highway No.19, old residence houses with outbursts were lined up, and it was a former lodging town where relaxed time flows. The Motoyama-juku was located approximately 3.3 km from the Seba-juku. The town had a population of 592 (man 297、woman 295) in 1843, 117 houses, one honjin one waki-honjin,and 34 hatago in the year 1843.

A pine tree lying fallen is about to close the highroad.. Below that, I sat down on a big tree whose wooden tree was cut down, and warm up with a bonfire while struggling.
